Te Rua Ceremony The ceremony takes place on a small motu, in the waters of a beautifully preserved coral garden. In the privacy of your bungalow, you will be dressed in a traditional pareo and leis of flowers and then escorted to the motu on a Polynesian pirogue entirely decorated with flowers and coconut fronds. You will be welcomed by Polynesian love songs and traditional dancing. On the beach, the master of ceremonies waits to unite you in front of a florally decorated stand. During the entire ceremony, traditional songs celebrate your union. You will be given a Polynesian name before being enveloped in a “Tifaifai” (Polynesian quilt). Once the union is celebrated, you will enjoy a tropical cocktail in a carved coconut shell and be presented with a wedding certificate. Afterwards, embark on the pirogue to be escorted back to your bungalow where you will enjoy your champagne and a selection of tapas in the intimacy of your private terrace.
