4WD Safari Tour with Lunch (full day)
Travel inland to the heart of the island in a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle where you will discover deep valleys, thick rainforests and beautiful large waterfalls. Follow the Papeno'o River all the way to the ancient abandoned Tahitian Village of Fare Hape and lake Vaihiria. Stop at an exhilarating Vainavenave natural swimming pool where you can body slide down the short waterfall.
With an English speaking driver/guide, you shall visit the scenic east coast of Tahiti and the famous Papenoo Valley. Stop at One Tree Hill with a fabulous view of Matavai Bay where the island was first discovered by the original English explorers in 1767.
After a short coastal drive, we turn inland at the mouth of Papenoo river where we begin our ascent up the largest valley on the island. The view of the surrounding mountain sides carved by centuries of erosion covered with rich thick multi-green rain forest will awe you.
Enjoy the adventurous drive of crossing rivers with many photo opportunities of the numerous waterfalls. Also stops for swimming unless it is muddy after rain.
